Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She received a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor, producer and director who works in television and film. She started acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and TV series. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with praise from critics but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway performance of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her work in Men of Honor and The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. On television, her part in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
