Kat Dennings (n e Katherine Victoria Litwack) was born on the 13th of June from Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. Ellen Dennings who is Kat's maternal grandmother is a professional writer as well as a speech therapist. Her father Gerald is a professor at a university in molecular biology. Dennings was raised by the home of a Jewish family as the eldest child. Dennings was not a student at the traditional school system for a long time as she was a homeschooler. When she started acting at a young, she found it was a good idea to homeschool as a option. At the young age of 9, she had started doing commercials. To pursue an acting career, Kat Dennings relocating with family from the city of her birth to Los Angeles when she finished high school. Kat Dennings is the name she used when auditioning. Kat Dennings first made an appearance in the HBO series "Sex and the City" In 2000, following her move to LA. Following that, Dennings was a star in WB's sitcom "Sex and the City".
