
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. After starting her acting career as a stage actor at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Bell also performed in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. In the following year, she was a part of the action-thriller Spartan (2004). She received praise for her portrayal of Becky Thatcher in the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The following year she appeared on Broadway for a revival of The Crucible. She reprised the role in the 2014 film and the renewal in 2019. Bell played the role from 2007 until 2008 as Elle Bishop in Heroes, the superhero drama. She voiced the titular narrator in the Teen Drama series Gossip Girl, reprising the character in the sequel 2021. Bell also appeared as Jeannie van der Hooven who played the female lead on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell starred in the lead role of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her role. Bell was also the main character on the streaming series The Woman in the house Just across the street from The Girl in the Window.
